Walk In or Make an Appointment?

These walk-in appointment windows are intended primarily for emergency-type situations. If it’s at all possible for you to schedule an appointment and wait for your scheduled time to come in, that is better all around. You’ll benefit in a couple of ways. First, we are expecting you! We’ll have your chart pulled and be ready for you when you arrive, and we’ll have already made arrangements for any sorts of scans or tests you may need. This all helps your appointment move along more quickly. Making an appointment also ensures you will see the doctor at approximately the scheduled time. If you just come by on a walk-in basis, there’s no telling how long you’ll have to wait to see the doctor – maybe no time at all, or maybe a couple of hours.

So if your situation allows you to schedule an appointment and wait, great. But if you need help more urgently, please, by all means, come by at one of the above times. We will be happy to serve you.

Diagnosis Methods

Diagnosing the reason for your pain may be a multi-step process and can include physical examinations, medical imaging techniques, and simple blood tests. Dr. Hibbitts then customizes your treatment based on these results. Only then can you truly begin to heal.

Injury & Pain Treatments

Working with the team at the Sunnyvale Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery Center, you may recover from your injury with nonsurgical treatments, or require surgery to eliminate pain and return to normal function.

  • Nonsurgical treatments can be performed at home or under the supervision of a medical professional. These include “RICE” treatment (Rest, Ice, Compression & Elevation), physical therapy, cortisone injections, and anti-inflammatory and pain management medications.
  • Surgical treatments are performed at our operating center, often on an outpatient basis. Many surgeries can be performed arthroscopically.

How to Prepare for Ankle, Knee, Hip, or Shoulder Surgery
