For more than 25 years, Dr. John M. Hibbitts, Texas board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, has helped people of all ages and backgrounds recover from pain and injury. Trained in the specialties of arthroscopic surgery, total and partial joint replacement, cartilage transplant, and more, Dr. Hibbitts and his team at the Sunnyvale Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center treat patients with chronic conditions and injuries in their shoulders, hips, and knees.
Dr. Reed Bartz, M.D., a Houston native, specializes in sports-related injuries, knee and shoulder surgery, and general orthopedics.
He graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He earned his M.D. from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Baylor College of Medicine, and specialized in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery with a fellowship at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
As an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado, Dr. Bartz educated orthopedic residents and served as a team physician for university athletic teams. He authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications, receiving awards for orthopedic research.
Dr. Bartz is involved with Helicopters for Heroes and The Gary Barnett Foundation. In his leisure time, he enjoys outdoor activities like fishing and golfing. He is a proud father of four children.

In addition to being an experienced medical doctor, John Hibbitts is a father of three children who keep him active. He is a long-time athlete who enjoys bodybuilding, rugby, Jiu Jitsu, and karate, as well as competitive handgun and rifle marksmanship.
